Australian Wooden Boat Festival Returns - 2025 feb 7th-10th

Returns Feb 7th to the 10th 2025 Australian Wooden Boat Festival is Tasmania’s largest free event  and the  largest celebration of wooden boats and maritime culture in the Southern Hemisphere .  Founded in 1994 , the four-day festival is held biennially in Hobart, spanning the entire waterfront and feeding into the city beyond.Hobart's historic port bursts to life with a vibrant atmosphere, offering a curated blend of experiences. The festival features a stunning collection of wooden vessels, from historic  tall ships  and classic yachts to traditional fishing boats. Huon Show has a record Year -

The Huon Show has reported record attendance this year. The Huon Show is an annual agricultural and community event held in Huonville , a town located in the Huon Valley of Tasmania, Australia. It celebrates the region's farming, horticultural, and rural lifestyle, showcasing the local agricultural products, such as apples (the Huon Valley is famous for its apple orchards), as well as other produce like berries, vegetables, and flowers. The show typically features a variety of activities, including: Agricultural competitions : Livestock shows (cattle, sheep, horses), dog trials, and other farming-related contests. Fat Pig Farm Returns

  Anchovy at Fat Pig Farm - The Residency We have long admired Thi Le's cooking, from her collab she did at Dark MOFO in Hobart a few year's back and from afar when she cooks at her Richmond based Vietnamese inspired eatery. Sadie even took me to Melbourne's Anchovy in the week pre Covid, on a very rare date night in Melbourne. Sadie ended up spending half the night talking to Thi, showing each other photos of radicchio and swapping tips on market gardeners and produce while I just rejoiced in the flavours. This is some of the most individual food I've tried, with complexity, honesty, and personality, all on the one plate. Thi's food is spicy, heady, and completely unlike the pared back European style Fat Pig is known for.
