Tahune Airwalk - Opens in Feburary 2020

The Tahune Airwalk is about to reopen, a year after the major tourist attraction was damaged by bushfires. Operators are confident the site, near Geeveston will open in early February 2020. Enjoy spectacular views as you walk 50 metres above the riverbank of the Huon River.  ​​This stunning treetop walkway gives you a bird’s-eye view of the forest. The stunning climax is a steel viewing point cantilevered nearly 50m above the ground, and overlooking the Huon River.  Explore the Huon River either by walking or rafting/Kayaking  the river at Tahune.   There are t wo optional walks available. McKays Track is a 1 hour loop walk (3km, grade 2) along the river banks, crossing the Picton and Huon River on swinging bridges. The Huon Pine Track is a 20 minute return (1km, grade 2) walk through tall forest.
